63,000 Break the Fast meals prepared by People of Determination at Fujairah Charity
Yousef Rashid Al Marshoudi, Director General of Fujairah Charity Association, said that the Association continues to implement the Break the Fast project with the participation of 13 People of Determination enrolled at the Association's Ghars Centre for Productive Families, where the People of Determination pack and prepare 2,100 Break the Fast meals daily at four locations in Fujairah, Masafi and Dibba at the main traffic signals. The distributions continue throughout the days of the holy month, through the efforts of the People of Determination team and the male and female volunteers who distribute Break the Fast meals to drivers on the streets and at intersections at the time of the Maghrib call to prayer, for a total of 63,000 meals by the end of the holy month of Ramadan, in a wonderful picture of refined humanitarian work; we find volunteers of different ages and groups, old and young and People of Determination, distributing Iftar meals with great happiness to drivers and pedestrians. Al Marshoudi added… During the month of Ramadan, circumstances force many people to be late returning to their homes until Iftar time or shortly before it, and some of them do not have the time to prepare or buy an Iftar meal, so that the time of the Maghrib call to prayer arrives while they are still in their car, and the volunteers provide them with Break the Fast packs containing a variety of food items. Many families are also keen for their children to take part in the volunteering activities organised by Fujairah Charity Association to contribute to charitable work, especially in the month of Ramadan, so that they become a positive example in society and so that the values of cooperation and goodness, and the importance of community service and participation in it, are instilled in them, which strengthens self-confidence and the values of social solidarity and teaches them the importance of the holy month and the great reward for doing good. Al Marshoudi affirmed that the Association's door is open to any volunteer efforts from those of our sons and daughters who wish to provide services, each according to their ability and capacity.
