Fujairah Charity Association, in cooperation with the Abattoirs Department, Fujairah Municipality, distributed Udhiyah meat to 7,200 families in need and to orphans and widows inside and outside the country.
Yousef Al Marshoudi, Director General of Fujairah Charity Association, said:
The Association was keen to purchase Udhiyah animals that meet Sharia and health requirements, and implementation was carried out in cooperation with the Municipality and under its supervision, to ensure their safety and that they meet health requirements, noting that the Udhiyah meat was distributed to 2,400 families within the country and 4,800 families outside it.
He added: The Udhiyah meat was transported for distribution to the needy and beneficiaries in equipped refrigerated vehicles that observe precautionary measures and safety and security requirements for preserving meat, ensuring its safety and its delivery in a sound, healthy and fit condition.
Al Marshoudi added: The Association also distributed Eid clothing to 474 orphans in Fujairah, in addition to fruit baskets to 300 orphans, dignified families in need and patients in medical centres and hospitals in Fujairah.
