The Hifz Al Neama project is one of the pioneering projects implemented by Fujairah Charity Association in the Emirate of Fujairah, launched with the support and direction of H.H. Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Fujairah, in 2004 , with 8 million meals distributed since the project's founding until the end of 2024. H.E. Saeed bin Mohammed Al Raqbani, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Fujairah Charity Association, stated that the Hifz Al Neama project , is spread across all areas of Fujairah and continues to develop, and its purpose is to spread a culture of moderation and the preservation of surplus food in homes, educate young generations, and raise family awareness and encourage them to preserve surplus food and offer it to those in need by keeping it in Hifz Al Neama refrigerators. Al Raqbani added that the Association has distributed food and water coolers to a large number of mosques in the Emirate, with the number of locations reaching 88, serving beneficiary groups, distributed across neighbourhoods and residential communities. Each location includes a water cooler and a refrigerator equipped to receive food, with health requirement instructions affixed to it, and they can be reached via the interactive map on the Association's website, which the Association has dedicated to this project. The number of beneficiaries of the project reached 444,472 during 2024. The Association periodically implements a series of awareness events in cooperation with government and private entities, with the aim of raising awareness of the importance of preserving blessings and avoiding extravagance. The Association also trains a number of volunteers to be part of the work teams responsible for collecting and distributing food in a healthy and safe manner . The Association also invites members of the community to take the initiative in supporting the Hifz Al Neama project, whether by registering on the volunteer platform or by donating through the various donation channels dedicated on the Association's website and through its representatives.
