Fujairah Charity Association provides more than AED 10 million in medical support to 1,537 patients

H.E. Yousef Al Marshoudi, Director General of Fujairah Charity Association, affirmed that the Association continues to fulfil its humanitarian mission of supporting patients and cases requiring urgent medical intervention, driven by its keenness to alleviate the suffering of patients and enable them to receive treatment in a timely manner.

Al Marshoudi explained that over the past three years the Association has provided medical assistance exceeding AED 10 million in value, benefiting more than 1,537 patients, as part of its programmes aimed at providing healthcare to the groups most in need.

He added that the assistance included covering the costs of urgent surgical operations, providing medical devices and supplies, and dispensing essential medicines, in addition to supporting treatment sessions and medical follow-up for chronic and critical cases, in cooperation with a number of hospitals and health centres inside and outside the Emirate of Fujairah.

He noted that all requests for medical assistance undergo careful study, beginning with social research and verification of living conditions, followed by an assessment of treatment needs in coordination with the competent medical authorities, ensuring that support is directed to those who deserve it according to clear criteria that achieve fairness and transparency.

Al Marshoudi affirmed that, with the support of benefactors, the Association has provided support to a number of critical medical cases, including heart surgery patients, orthopaedic surgery patients, cancer treatment and dialysis sessions, in addition to patients who need ongoing medicines and treatments, which helped them complete their treatment programmes and eased the financial burden on them and their families.
