Fujairah Charity Association received a donation of AED 15 million from Dubai Islamic Bank from Zakat funds, in support of the charitable and humanitarian projects implemented by the Association within the United Arab Emirates. This comes within the framework of the ongoing cooperation and the strategic and community partnership between the two parties, as Dubai Islamic Bank is one of the foremost strategic partners supporting the journey of Fujairah Charity Association and its diverse programmes, which benefit many groups eligible for assistance within the country. H.E. Saeed bin Mohammed Al Raqbani, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Fujairah Charity Association, commended the continued generosity of Dubai Islamic Bank, its commitment to supporting charitable and humanitarian work, its keenness to strengthen solidarity and mutual support among members of society, and its embodiment of the values of our true religion. He said: Dubai Islamic Bank has long been a strategic partner of the Association and one of its foremost core supporters in implementing its charitable programmes, affirming that the Bank has a generous record of serving the UAE community, extending a helping hand, engaging with charitable associations and helping them implement their charitable programmes and projects in the country”. Al Raqbani explained that this donation from Dubai Islamic Bank will contribute greatly to implementing the initiatives and programmes prepared by the Association, and will be allocated to benefit eligible groups according to the Sharia categories of Zakat recipients, in line with the procedures followed by the Association's Zakat Department and social research committees. Al Raqbani extended his thanks to the Bank's Board of Directors and the Community Support Services Unit for their continued cooperation in supporting charitable and humanitarian work, in order to deliver aid and Zakat to those who deserve it among dignified families in need, the poor, the needy and orphans. For his part, Obaid Al Shamsi, Chief Operating Officer of Dubai Islamic Bank, praised the role played by Fujairah Charity Association in the fields of charitable work, noting that this donation comes in support of the charitable and humanitarian projects carried out by the Association. Al Shamsi affirmed the prominent role of Dubai Islamic Bank in providing humanitarian and charitable aid to groups in need, stemming from the noble mission the Bank fulfils through its partnerships with charitable and humanitarian institutions and associations operating within the country, so that they can perform their role to the fullest.
