Fujairah Charity Association launched its Ramadan campaign under the slogan “Al Baqiyat Al Salihat” for the year 1447 AH, coinciding with the approach of the holy month of Ramadan, as part of its seasonal programmes aimed at supporting dignified families in need and people on limited incomes, and strengthening the values of social solidarity and human compassion that distinguish the holy month. The campaign aims to meet the basic needs of thousands of beneficiaries within the Emirate of Fujairah through an integrated package of charitable and humanitarian projects, foremost among them the Zakat on wealth project, which is one of the most important sources of support for eligible families, alongside the Iftar for Fasting People project, which the Association implements daily during the holy month of Ramadan by distributing 7,000 Iftar meals daily at multiple locations, ensuring that meals reach the widest possible segment of fasting people. The campaign also includes Zakat Al Fitr, which the Association is keen to deliver to those entitled to it at the prescribed Sharia time, the Ramadan provisions (Al Meer) project, which aims to provide basic food supplies to dignified families in need, helping to ease their living burdens during the holy month, as well as the Eid clothing project, which aims to bring joy and happiness to the hearts of children and eligible families with the arrival of the blessed Eid Al Fitr. In this regard, H.E. Salem Al Salami, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Fujairah Charity Association, stated: “Al Baqiyat Al Salihat campaign represents an extension of the approach of Fujairah Charity Association in humanitarian and charitable work, and reflects its commitment to its community role in supporting eligible groups, especially in the holy month of Ramadan, when the meanings of giving and generosity are multiplied. Under the directives of H.E. Saeed Al Raqbani, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Association, we have been keen to diversify the campaign's projects to cover various basic needs, achieving a positive and sustainable impact on the lives of beneficiaries.. His Excellency added: “We are proud of the support and trust the Association enjoys from philanthropists and benefactors, which enables us to implement these projects on a wide scale, particularly the Iftar for Fasting People project, which aims to distribute seven thousand meals daily, as a practical embodiment of the values of mercy and solidarity called for by our true religion”. His Excellency affirmed the Association's keenness to apply the highest standards of transparency and governance in managing donations and implementing projects, calling on members of society and institutions to contribute to supporting the “Al Baqiyat Al Salihat” campaign and to take part in good deeds, thereby helping to maximise reward, entrench a culture of sustainable giving, and fulfil the Association's mission , during the month of mercy and forgiveness.
